Renting Spaces and Rooms
Innovation processes as well as corporate events and functions benefit from special venues like the RUB-Makerspace. Everything here is different—colorful, creative, and inspiring! We offer individual rooms, event spaces, or even entire floors for rent, including seating and IT equipment.
Collaboration in Teaching and Research
Companies seeking access to cutting-edge research and highly qualified specialists can establish collaborations with the RUB-Makerspace—for example, to carry out research projects or joint seminars that create a perfect synergy between academia and industry.
Training and Professional Development Formats
With its wide range of workshops and labs, the RUB-Makerspace enables organizations to look beyond their in-house training and development programs and meaningfully complement them with focused topics—for example, to advance digital transformation within the company.
Advertising in the RUB-Makerspace
Each year, the RUB-Makerspace reaches thousands of people across a very broad range of target groups. Companies can gain visibility in the Makerspace by renting advertising space for displays or posters, or by sponsoring specific equipment or areas.
Innovation Workshops
Innovation processes often require a new environment to break away from routine and encourage fresh perspectives. In our colorful and inspiring spaces, we offer workshops in ideation and prototyping to help rethink products and services and make them more innovative.
Machine Sharing
Small companies have the opportunity to share access to our extensive and diverse range of machinery by renting specific areas or machines for a defined period. This provides maximum flexibility with minimal resource investment.
Donations and Sponsorship
The Makerspace is not only a place for teaching and research for start-ups and members of RUB—it aims to be open to everyone! This outward-facing and inclusive mission depends on broad support, as such openness would otherwise only be possible to a limited extent. Companies can make a valuable contribution through donations in kind, financial support, and fundraising initiatives.
Important Note!
The RUB-Makerspace is part of Ruhr University and is therefore subject to all applicable state aid regulations. Collaboration with companies takes place exclusively through standard billing for services provided or in the form of previously negotiated cooperation agreements.
As a rule, we do not carry out contract manufacturing for companies.
