Project and Seminar Rooms
Do you need your own space for a few hours to work on your project with your team? Are you still looking for a seminar room with technical equipment for your teaching? Is the cross-departmental quarterly meeting coming up and you simply want to get out of your usual meeting room? We might have something for you!
Rooms can be booked individually by arrangement with us.
Project Rooms
We have two project rooms on each floor for approximately 3–6 people. The rooms are furnished quite differently and are intended to serve you and your team as project spaces, retreats, meeting rooms, or simply as flexibly usable spaces.
Practice Seminar Room
Our practice seminar room in the basement is intended for seminars and groups that require a seminar room with a workshop character for their (teaching) events. In everyday use, the room is also used as a shared bench and multifunctional workspace for all workshops and laboratories.
The room can be equipped flexibly – for example with chairs, folding tables, classic tables, or with our mobile workbenches, tools and machines, as well as media technology as needed. Compressed air, high-voltage power, and a sink with a sludge trap, as well as roller doors to the outside and to the adjacent workshops (digital lab and metal workshop with another roller door to the wood workshop) are part of the basic equipment. Depending on the configuration, the room can accommodate 5–20 people.
The UB Library Space
The Library Space of the UB Bochum enables RUB members (with their LoginID.bib) and external users (with a library account as a walk-in user) to conveniently use the hundreds of thousands of e-books, e-journals, and databases of the UB on site in the RUB Makerspace for their projects.
Here you will find all information about the library card. You are also welcome to submit the information required for registration in advance of your library visit.
Visit our bright and welcoming Library Space and make yourself comfortable in an armchair for brainstorming or use one of the total of six workstations. Get inspired by a shelf full of creative books and capture your ideas on the flipchart.
Whatever you are working on – our diverse and multilingual e-resources offer something for almost every topic. During the library’s service hours, the UB’s information specialists are also available to assist you with research and other questions via chat, telephone, and email.
